October Open House Friday the 14th

Hi all!  Hope all is well with you.  How is your school year going?  Think you might need a change in plans?  Maybe you just need to supplement with something different for a short time.  Why not try to get it FREE.  That's right,  come to the next open house for the Curriculum Closet and see what treasures await you.  Bring your kids if you like and browse around.  The open house will be from 9am -12pm.  This will be the last open house for the year.  I will start them up again after the holidays.  Have any questions or need direction just leave me a comment or call me at 747-1454 and I will be glad to help you out.

Updates!

Hi there all!  Hope your having a great weekend.  Well in order to get ready for the next open house, I have taken some time to organize and inventory all the books.  I now have all the books in stacks by grade level. Also, I have a master list by grade level with subcategories by subject.  If you would like a copy of the list emailed to you I would be glad to do that.  Just let me know what grades you are interested in and your email address and I will get it to you.

REMINDER:  The next open house is this coming Friday, September 16th, from 9am-12pm. My address is 9417 Marydale Lane, Fort Wayne,  46804.  If you need directions please call me at 260-747-1454.  Donations of curriculum, educational books, supplies, or games can be done anytime.  Just let me know when a good drop off time is for you.  Please note that while you do not have to donation to take advantage of the free stuff, if you or anyone you know can donate it will help to keep this ministry going.  Thank you so much  and have a blessed week.

September update

Hi there,


Well I  can't believe we have already started our first week of school.  It was a little rocky at first but we are slowly starting to work out the kinks.  I have got some great stuff in the last couple of days and am attempting to catalog everything so as to be better organized.  I won't be able to do an open house on Saturday morning because my youngest son has football games that morning.  Because of this I will be hosting the September open house on the following date:


Open House:  Friday, September 16th, 2011. From 9-12


As of right now it will still be held at my home, 9417 Marydale Lane.

New additions to the Closet!!

Just an FYI for all those thinking about attending the next open house (August 20th) .  I have had a few donations and thought I would list some of the things available.

August 20th Open House

First I would like to thank all those who donated in the past to this cause.  Your donations did not stay on my shelves for long.  Almost all that was donated has found a home.  Know that your actions have blessed someone else!

After the success of the first two open houses, I am very excited about the up coming open house.  I have it set  for August 20 from 9am-12pm.  If you have anything educational in nature to donate please let me know and we can set up a time for drop off.  I will except books, games, video, and audio that is remotely educational in nature.

I would like to say thank you to everyone who was able to donate for the first open house for the Curriculum Closet.  You will be glad to know that most of what was brought was taken that day!  I am so glad that all who came were able to find something of interest to them.  I pray that it will help in your homeschooling this coming year. If you have anything that you would like to donate before the next open house, please contact me at 747-1454  to arrange a time to drop it off.

The next scheduled open house date is for July 16th from 9am to 12am.

New Curriculum Closet

Hi there and welcome to the Curriculum Closet.

I have started this closet as a place where you can get curriculum and books FREE.  Why free you ask?  Good question.  The primary reason is that it is my heart's desire is to give people the chance to homeschool even if their budget is super tight.  I have lots of curriculum ( most of it not complete) to share. My hope is that it might bless someone as they move through their own homeschooling experience.  A secondary reason would be to help those trying to clean out their closets of all the books they no longer want. 

I will be setting up a library in the coming weeks and would like to invite you to my first open house.

Saturday June 18th from 8am - noon

 This will be a time for you  to see what I have, get books you want, and drop off books you don't.  If you are looking for a specific item please let me know and I will be glad to see if I can find it for you.  I hope to have an open house on the third Saturday of every month from 8am - noon; I will keep you posted on this.
